You won’t find a more capable general contractor, nor an easier person to work with. We have made use of his services on several occasions (e.g. fence, window and door replacement) and have always been impressed with the work and the can-do attitude. Joaquin will treat you right.

Joaquin did two jobs for us this year, and both turned out great. First, he rehabbed an neglected old pole barn to ready it for new livestock. He was able to solve water drainage issues in the horse stalls, and he straightened up a sagging wall and twisted door frames. He also rebuilt the stairs and railing to the front porch of our house, beautifully matching the cedar woodwork styling of the rest of porch and entrance. He is skilled in both heavier construction and finish carpentry, he communicates well, he shows up when scheduled, and he’s just a really nice guy! I’d highly recommend Homestead Structures.

We appreciated Joaquin from the moment we met him. He replaced all our interior doors with pre-hung solid core doors, and the same with the hollow closet doors, as well as the front door. Setting up a portable paint booth in our garage, he double coated the factory primed doors to our color choice. Dropping the dark finished mahogany doors for white doors very much lightened up our interior, and the solid doors cut household noise in half when we want to be undisturbed. They say sometimes that you find the best contractors by referral; well, I’m giving it to you here: you’ll enjoy his presence, quality work, and overall project value. Thank you Joaquin! I found Joaquin on C’s list. We’re replacing our back sliding glass door with new French Doors and exterior storm doors. That stuff is all on order so it’s not shown. Existing access to the patio area was a single concrete step. Not workable, or safe for the new doors to come. I took some measurements and came up with a rudimentary design. I sent it over to Joaquin and he replied that he’d come by and make an estimate. It was a great visit He improved the initial design and work commenced a week later. This might appear to be a simple job, but the concrete slab was plumb and level to nothing. Joaquin is an awesome craftsman, he took the time to scribe and form EVERY part of the support structures to two axis to ensure the steps were dead level and plumb to the finish floor of the house. Very professional, very thoughtful, and he took every measure to ensure a strong quality product. Plus, he’s a lot of fun! The poor guy had to put up with me hanging around for hours talking about the trades and our experiences. In the end, the job was done very well, and I felt like I’d made a new friend.
